Pre workout meal

Hi i currently train after breakfast and just wondering if eating scrambled eggs on toast was a good pre workout meal. It consists of 2 slices of wholemeal toast and five eggs (5 egg white and 2 yolks). And if i was rushing would a protein shake and a bannana be ok?.
 
You can usually find some pretty healthful breads, full of fiber, protein and omega fats. The fiber content of the bread is going to slow nutrient uptake, so if you're relying on this meal to give you a lot of energy, you should eat it as early as you can before your workout.
 
I train AM on an empty stomach but I have read some threads from some very serious bodybuilders where they will set their alarm at 5:30 or so, wake up, slam some oats, and then go back to sleep to wakeup and workout 1.5 hours later. May work for you depending on when you train.
