Pre and Post workout meals

Im convinced that these three meals are the most important meals of the day.

Immediately after training I will finish my gatorade with a little bit of added dextrose and some whey isolate protein with a tiny bit of oatmeal..
Around 50g dextrose, 25g oatmeal and 50g protein

1.5 hours later I will eat the same rations (50g protein 75g carbs) but from whole foods. Chicken, rice, yams veggies.

My question is what is a good pre workout meal? And what ratios? 215lbs

Sup bro? The best pre workout meal is oatmeal, whey protein, and flax oil. It will keep you from crashing during your workout. For post workout I do the same thing by eating oatmeal with dextrose.

I usually consume a simple whey shake with 24g of protien glutamine/creatine (depending)/EC stack about an hour or 45 min prior...I dont eat a big meal anywhere too close to working out.

i def dont like to eat a big meal...especially not before leg days...

usually just a protein shake but i head this once:

"eat a peanut butter sanwhich before you lift like 30-45 minutes... becuase ur insulin levels will spike with the intake of the simple sugars thus creating a very good enviornment for giving the muscles glycogen."

It's actually not a good idea. If you are talking about regular pb there is saturated fat and trans fatty acids. Combine that with high insulin levels and it's the perfect environment for fat storage. If it's anpb there aren't enough sugars to give one a good pump. I guess if you don't care about gaining fat then go for it.
