Post-Bulking Cycle Diet

How should you eat during PCT after a bulking cycle? There was a post here a few days ago on PCT training where the consensus was that you should continue to lift heavy, but decrease volume and increase rest time. How about diet? Should you continue to take in the same amount of total calories? if so, for how long? if not, how do you taper? Bulking cycle diet was high protein, high-moderate carb, low fat. thx.

I wouldnt change too much, as you want to hold onto your mass. I would add about 50g more protein, and more good fats, to help with male hormone production. Also, if your eating any simple carbs other than post workout, stop. You may be susceptible to some post cycle fat gains, so make sure you eat clean, but are still packing in the cals.

after a cycle, its recommended to eat a little more than maintanace while cutting down on the training intensity/frequency.

you gotta remember that your body is a cortisol producing machine post cycle..
so dont help it produce more!

my pct is usually 3-4 light/medium intensity workouts lasting no more than 30 minutes..
cardio is absoutely out of teh question!
rest rest rest... eat clean eat clean eat clean.

There's a nearly endless list of stuff.. start with the basic..

Vitamin C
Vitamin E
Glutamine
Protein

Those are the tried and true methods.. higher doses of vitamin c and e will greatly help with cortisol and the free radicals during PCT.. helps me a lot.. and keeps my immunity up.. shoot for like 2g of vit c a day.. atleast 500mg postworkout.. and about 800iu of vitamin e a day.. and 400 of that postworkout.. glutamine postworkout is good and before bed.. and protein itself is anticatabolic so keep protein in your system and your good to go

I agree with keeping calories up and adding fat to help with hormone production. Adding protein makes no sense to me though; if anything, you should be reducing protein. Protein synthesis is higher on cycle, so you want to take advantage of that, but what good does throwing more into your diet AFTER a cycle do?

Basically, calories should stay fairly close to the same, with maybe a slight drop if activity is lowered, and the increased fat coming in place of protein and some carbs.
