pics of me :)

I think Waller was too 'small' by the time the 80's came around. I wouldn't place him above 215-220. I think he was the same height as Arnold, only so much smaller. He was impressive, but when compared to guys like Arnold, Mentzer, and even a smaller, but ripped to shreds Zane, he just didn't seem like much.

He says he didn't do well in later contests due to Pumping Iron. People viewed him as an asshole, and would boo him offstage. I believe this. I also think thats why Arnold was booed off the 80 Olympia stage. I don't think it was because of him not being in top shape. I looked at a ton of pics from that show. Zane looks way off. Although I love Mentzer, his pec developement looks poor during the show. And the rest of the competition during that show just didn't look all that great. Even Arnold when he is 'off' knows how to show the best out there. I think he was booed off for being a dick during Pumping Iron.

As for Mike Katz, I feel the same way. I think he was huge. But something about his developement didn't look 'right'. Some parts just didn't match up. Almost like a puzzle that wasn't put together right. I can't put a finger on it, but if you look at him, you can just see it. But I think Mike was a great guy. A really caring person.

"When Waller started competing the the Olympias during 1980 and 1981, he was getting 15th place."

yeah, in the days of draper, robbie, arnold, franco and nubret, waller was just WAY outclassed. In the pumping iron reunion show he said he still gets shit about the t-shirt. people used to BOO him off the stage when the film was first released. good for him...

You seem not to like him that much;) . I think he retired from competition in 1981.

is that good or bad? :) :(

You are more compact. . which means that filling out your frame is easier as well as gaining strength. You would make a good middle weight bodybuilder if you play your cards right.

ken didn't actually steal the shirt

in the interview with arnold about 'pumping iron's 25th anniversary, he said mike was looking for his shirt, and that many weeks later the directors/producers decided to film the scenes where waller was plotting to steal the shirt to add more drama to the movie.

so ken didn't actually steal the shirt, that was added later to stir things up

Thanks for the info. I never took the whole shirt theft to be that serious.

yes i am 5'3. so my head is too small?

Oak, man, you oughta be calling yourself "ThePriest" or "TheFranco"! I love Arnold, too, but you're built along the lines of a Danny Padilla or Columbu.

You're doing great so far...shorty ;) You could be a giant killer. Stay off the sauce as long as you can; then, should you decide to use, I think you could actually be a good lightheavy. You might not be at the upper-end of that class, but given your progress so far I wouldn't put it beyond ya :)
