right now I'n on diet and try not to eat any carb later in the nite but still have slite cravings sometimes......can I have peanuts or cashews after 9PM or so??.......I mean just a serving or so.....
they are good and quick and should help with any carb cravings, just try to get "low sodium" or "unsalted" ones. Another good supplement to help stabilize blood sugar is flax. Protein shake or Cottage Cheese, Flax, Sweetner is a good/quick snack.
As far as taste, I like low fat cottage cheese taste better than fat free. Plus fat free normally has more carbs. But if you are on low carb diet, just go for the regular stuff.
