over 250lbs doing pull ups

How many of you big boys do pull ups?

Harder for big guys?? That's definitely an excuse. If you don't do them ever you won't get better at them. I can do 27 (without weight) and normally just do 2 sets of 20 everytime I work out (one overhand, one underhand).
Strength isn't linear to bodyweight. :coffee:
 
well i am at 235 right now but at 250 i could do 5 sets 10 reps .i never tried to do more as that was my first back exersize "OH" i would do 5 sets of close grip pull up's right after as well 10 ,10 ,8 ,6, 5 as i was getting cooked from the wide grip .are we talking about wide grip???? "LOL"
 
I was 245 and could do about 10 or so.downs to 215 and doing about 15-20 now.I dont do them all the time just her and ther to see how many I can do.

Fair enough. I personally find it amazing how a man can have such strength and control over his own body. I'd prefer to be able to lift my whole body with one hand than bench or squat big weights. Everyone has different goals though.
 
240lbs and I can do a few reps (3-5) with 70-90lbs hanging from my nuts.

Going for reps is pointless when you're heavier imo, there's no way would I be able to do high reps with my bodyweight (like the 160lb pullup artists who like to make everything a pissing contest about ''relative strength''), just like I wouldn't be able to bench 80% of my max for high reps either...
