Did you try logging out and then trying to re-register?

Go to the bottom of the main discussion boards page and click on log out. That should clear your ID. Then just re-register with a new e-mail and your new ID.

Sorry if you have already tried this.

Log out then also clear cookies and clear history.
Then you can make a new name.
