Oatmeal alternative

taken from a post by Ranger
I haven't tried this...yet and I bet you could eat it in the car ;)

Ranger Gorp...(all I could think of to name it)

12 scoops of protein powder, low carb, low fat(I prefer Choc.)
2 cups of uncooked oats
Add all natural peanut butter(to desired thickness)
4 B-6 tabs crushed
4 Ginger Roots Tabs crushed(B-6 and Ginger Root help with protein absorbtion and reduces stomach upset and gas)
Cinnamon(optional)
Nutmeg(optional)
Spring water

Add all ingred. into a large bowl
Mash and stir
Add spring water and stir
Nuke for 1 minute in microwave
Add more spring water and stir
nuke again for 1 minute

By this time it should be thick, and you'll have a nice forearm pump from the stirring....it should be almost like cookie dough...

Add a pinch of cinn. and nutmeg to taste(optional)....

Throw in the fridg. Now, you can have a few spoonfuls before and after workouts....need a snack??? Now ya got Ranger Gorp!!!

Another nice trick....take the Gorp, place on wax paper, roll out with a rolling pin, cut into your own protein bars....or roll into balls, wrap in wax paper, take them to work for a low carb, high protein snack....

Might not sound good...But it is...Yum-Me-Lish-Us....<wink>

Almost tastes like Reeses Peanut Butter Cups

Screw the oatmeal grab yourself some 1/2 cup of brown rice, 1/2 cup of peas, and a can of albacore tuna it is the shit in the morning. Well at least I think it is. Especially at 4:30 AM when I am driving to work. Breaks up the monotany of boring oatmeal.

Copied this down during the summer it's not too bad :)

protein pancakes

1 cup oatmeal
3 egg whites
1/4 cup plain lactose and fat free yogurt by astro (you can use any plain fat free yogurt)
1/2 banana
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 cup sugar twin brown sugar substitute or 1 to 2 packs sweetener
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Make sure you blend in a blender to a batter spray skillet on high heat with cooking spray and cook till bubbles start to form then flip

This is very similiar to what I eat every morning but mine goes like this

3/4 cup oatmeal
10 egg whites
1 scoop of protein mix
1/2 banana(every other day on the banana)

mix it all up in a bowl and put on high heat skillet-cook then flip---once flipped is when I add sugar substitute and 1 tbsp of all natural peanut butter---then fold in skillet and add more sugar substitute and 1 more tbsp of Pbutter with a few squirts of "I can't believe its not butter"----
