Night Hunger?

So the last couple of nights I've woke up in the middle of the night and I've been SO hungry! More than usual. I ignored it but it was hard because the hunger was overwhelming! DOes this happen to anyone and should I eat something or have some almonds by my bed? I have my last meal at 7:30pm and go to bed about 10pm.....do I need to sneak in another meal before bed? I also wake up in the middle of the night really thirsty and have started leaving water by my bed. It's frustrating since it make me have to pee all n ight long...........

For sure have something small right before bed I normally have a tablespoon of ANPB but some almonds would work to.

What exactly are you eating throughout the day? Esp. in the last meal? Does is have any fat in it? Do you have a large carb as your final meal?

My last meal is usually chicken breast with veggies and sometimes brown rice. Someone recommedded I should have cottage cheese before bed....

I always have poached chicken tenderlions in the fridge to snack on, like when you've been running around all day haven't eaten and you want to eat something the very second you get through your door.

It also works for midnite munchies.

This may be good advice because the cottage cheese is like protein casseinate which breaks down slower than standard whey or soy, You could add a tsp of flax oil to it or a shake to slow it down as well... :Chef:

I'm experienced both hunger and thurst in the middle of the night. If I don't get enough calories in during the day, or my dinner/last meal is too early I end up in the fridge around 3AM! Try some cottage cheese before bed, or a small handful of nuts or even another protein shake - You mentioned almonds.

What are you eating as your last meal at 7:30 PM?

what does the rest of your diet look like for the day?

How many calories are you taking in?
