New to everthing & Trying to loose weight

Like Wannabe said - take a teaspoon several times a day. 1 teaspoon~5g. I take a teaspoon with my morning shake, teaspoon in middle of the day (usually post workout), teaspoon with nighttime shake. If you have a shake before your workout take some then, but definately in a postworkout shake. 3-4 teaspoons (15-20g) a day is common. I take glutamine even on off days to keep it "stocked" in my body.

It comes in capsule and powder - capsules may be convenient but are more expensive and IMO the powder is better. My powder dissolves in water and is tasteless - so I can add some to a glass of water and gulp it down. Doesn't have to be in a shake.

Definately notice a difference in recovery time and amount of stiffness/soreness. I'm still sore after lifting, but it no longer inhibits things like walking up/down the stairs! :) Plus, I've noticed cardio doesn't exhaust my legs as much and I have better endurance (may be coincidence, not sure). Good stuff!

Stupid question...

IMO=In my opinion? :FRlol:

Ive heard of a lot of this stuff before I just always thought that it was only for guys...really I was not aware that this was such a huge thing.

I mean girls working out and guys having strong women fetishes...come on... I grew up with a dad who wouldn't take me fishing because I was a girl...I never did garbage...(that was my brothers' job)...and I still don't do bugs. :eek2:

But this I am totally into. My boyfriend is really into it too...I can tell that this is his big turn on...I'm starting to talk his talk and he digs it. I'm just soaking it all in. Can you all feel the love?
This is the best thing I could be doing for me, my kids and my relationship...I am totally happy! :D

Thanks a lot everyone!!!!

PS...Just thought I would share a little...

we5happy,
I can totally relate to you! My husband lifts weights and got me into it. It's odd, because he is turned on by it too! Now dont get me wrong-I'm not doing this for him. But he introduced me to it and I love weight training. But if it weren't for him, I would probably still be out there running endless miles trying to lose another pound.

I was always a girly girl too. (or I was made to be). I was the pagent kid. My mom picked me up early everyday at school. I NEVER got to play PE. It was always singing lessons, modeling lessons , etc. So now I am not altheletic at all! I always wanted to play sports. If I could go back in time, I would play softball ( I cant even catch a ball now....) I was the biggest flop in anything atheletic.
That's why I started weight training. I could do something atheletic and it's not too late. There is no age limit on that. I am actually excited to see the results since I've never done anything like this.

Seems like we have a lot in common.

Drumroll Please...

Weigh in Number 4...1.5 lbs. For a total of 13 in four weeks.

Not a great loss but a loss indeed...Wohoo!

BTW...

FTITM I weighed myself four the fourth week in a row and I lost another 1.5 lbs. So IIRC that makes 13 in 4 weeks. IMHO that is rockin' because for the past two weeks I have been lifting weights and building muscles as well as loosing fat.

FWIW...Thanks guys!
