I have been eating:
breakfast --> 3 egg whites w/a pinch of seasoning salt, 1 cup cooked plain oatmeal w/splenda and a bit of skim milk, 1 cup coffee w/fat free cream & splenda, then after all that, protein shake
lunch -->sometimes i miss lunch because I'm doin *baby* things (I'm a stay at home mommy) but I usually have brown rice or some broccoli w/lite cheez whiz (i know the cheez whiz isnt too healthy)
afternoon --> workout, then protein shake
dinner --> baked, boneless skinless chicken breast w/bbq sauce
and sometimes also broccoli w/lite cheez whiz
before bed -->i drink chinese super slimming tea
and once or twice/week on weekends, i cheat and eat a serving of potato skins and/or the next day a serving of dairy queen ice cream
I have an ancient stationary bike that sounds like a beast, but i ride it 45-60 minutes/day. then i try to do 100 situps/day, but sometimes it happens every 2 days
I am 5'6" and currently 137 pounds. (I was 130 pre pregnancy, and i was healthy, but not overly fit or anything. I guess just *average* fitness before.)
Thanks all!
Krista
Sorry I'm lazy - can you put this into a food counts program like
www.fitday.com - its free, online, takes a minute to set up your foods -- but just on the surface looks like you probably don't eat enough and the cheats are goign to slow down your progress.
And back to my previous comment about why to not be cavalier in your approach to steroids just to "tone up a little' --- if I spent a few minutes I can poke at least 5 holes in your diet and tell you why you aren't going to get to your goal w/ the diet you have -> that means there are a small set of tweaks you can make in your current diet to get the goals you want to achieve and in a time-efficient manner.
Your body reflects your lifestyle (how you eat and your activities). Lots of people pop up saying "I want to try var just to tone up & lose a few lbs" -- so they are telling me they have no problem popping some controlled substances in order to self-medicate w/ male hormones and deal w/ the associated sides, but won't take the time to optimize their lifestyle (diet & training) to get the results that even the drugs won't get if these things arent' in place already.
So please don't feel I'm directing this at anyone here - just again trying to reiterate how BASIC AND FUNDAMENTAL diet and training are. Your body can do nothing more than respond to the influences and stimuli that you put to it -- so you can't expect to find a quicky drug that bypasses that whole biochemical mechanism w /a few pills / shots / whatever. That is how important diet & training are. People will come up w/ a thousand different crazy fad diets and whacko things to do to "lose weight" or "tone up" but they won't take the time to look at what they are eating, the stresses they put on their body and the quality of recovery that their body needs to function under.
Its that basic.
Trust me - we've all attempted to find "the best fat -burner" and "the best trainign routine to cut" and all this other shit. There is no "best" - its just straight up clean & consistent eating, eating the right amount and then training w/ intensity and consistency to get the goals that you want. If you cheat randomly or decide you don't feel like goign to the gym, then expect to not meet your goals in a split second manner.
