His best comp dead lift is 900lb i believe. His best unofficial is 900 for 2 reps. *correction* I don't know what I was smoking yesterday but this is Ed Coan best DL, not Scott's. The deadlift record is about 930lb.

To those of you that are impressed by an eight hundred pound bench presser....we have one on the powerlifting board, he missed the lockout on 815 a couple weeks ago in competition. Come over and read his posts sometime.

Mikesell has squatted 1103.4 lbs in competition. That is old.

Interesting comments from someone who was actually THERE (Jason Burnell) to see Scots massive bench:

"Mendolsons benches - this was the big thing of the day. OK - this guy is huge and we all know he can bench but damn. He OPENED with 804. No, you don't understand. He OPENED with 804. No.. I mean, I think in December with practice and a good day I can SQUAT 804 on a third in a canvas with briefs if I don't walk it out. HE OPENED with 804 IN THE BENCH.. no, you don't get it. He had 804 in his hands. Down and up - slowed some as it got to the top but he got it. Then he went to 821. IT was faster than the opener.

Afterwards he told me (ok, he told US since he was surroundedby people) the the opener "got a little out of the groove" and touched lower than he would have liked so "he had to move it back into place and then press it up." Like that shit just happens ... "oh, 804 was out of place so I just put it back and then lifted it. " He just said it so matter of factly like it happens to us all - like we could relate. Like someone was going to say - Yeah, man. I hate when that happens. "

If 804 is out of place on the floor, most of us have to take the plates off and roll it around. LOL UNREAL
