ok bros

I will start to train my abs real hard from now on , so I need to know the best method to do it , since I don't know jack shit about ab training .

so what is the best method ?? 2 x week ?? or 3 x week ?? I know that ED is not good right ??

also how many exercises , how many reps and sets makes the optimal abs training ??

any tips are apreciated .

thanks all

Victor

ok, you could train them 3 times a week with no prob, about 3 sets of 10-15 good contractions, maybe try the flexi ball, it keeps your abs tight, if your abs are not flexed you are not working them, ok start off with uppers, that would be normal crunches, then do some hanging leg lifts to hit the lowers, allways do upper first.

thanks bro :)

3 x a week

3 exercises ( like one for upper , one for lower and one for obliques ) , 3 sets for 15 reps each exercise ?

Victor

yes, everytime you train them , do uppers 10-15 reps 10-13-15 making it harder each set, then lowers, 10-13-15 the same.JUST remember to keep them tense the whole time

I read that you should train abs and calfs every day.

But I was also told by someone that had a nice 6 pack that I am overtraining them and that i should only train them 3-4 days/ wk. Just wanted to hear it from someone that has a 6 (not saying that the post before don't) what is right.

Thanks !

hit some cable crunches... those are an awesome addition to any ab workout, they've really helped me get my abs going in the direction I want them... Now it's just bringing the 6 pack outta the cooler that I'm working on...

start off slow but consistant..... shock your muscles just as you would any other body part. abs are different because they're fast healers and you CAN work them more often but the trick is to keep your ab workouts different. for a beginner i usually recommend hitting them 4-5x/wk, 3-4 light movements. then shock the f out of them and hit 7-8 movements (including obliques) twice with some weight and everything... be prepard to take a few days off from abs after that. then feel it out, listen to your body and pick it up again. if you like do every day light to moderate.... maybe every other day a little more intense or you may learn you love to beat the holy fuck out of them every 4 days.

peace,
ragin'

Amen to that brotha...i just added cable crunches to my ab routine and i love em, if i concentrate on the movement they burn like hell!....just make sure to let your abs do the work. I see some guys at the gym who put a whole bunch of weight and do it totally incorrect.
