need some serious advice

Hi, my name is Rory and ive decided its time to do something about my weight, I have no idea where or what I should start on. the type of foods I eat kinda stops me from doing a full on diet like, I don't eat salads, and I don't go out of my way to eat any vegies but potato, but I will eat just about any meat/rice etc etc.

I used to be very skinny till I stoped playing sports all together and now ive gotten to a 'fat big' size, but still solid. im 201cm tall and last time I checked around 145kgs, a yr ago I used to work on a truck delivering furniture which did keep me in shape, since I started uni and quit working its got out of hand again.

what im asking for is advice and what I need to do to loss weight, like get back to a solid/skinny figure, or turn the fat into muscle or something. I don't really like going to gyms, but I would run/ride a bike and try to fix my eating habits (I used to eat takeaway alot).

so given the fact that I will eat any meat and hate salads, will ride/run (dont know how long I could do it for tho per night) and dislike gyms, what are my options?

many thanks in advance
Rory

first the good news:
you can lose weight

now the bad news: You need to do something's that you don't like...

the type of foods I eat kind of stops me from doing a full on diet like, I don't eat salads, and I don't go out of my way to eat any vegies but potato
YOU NEED TO START EATING THE CORRECT FOODS. I see results staying away from starches completely... Salads are great because you can throw chicken and lean meats on them...

I don't really like going to gyms, but I would run/ride a bike and try to fix my eating habits (I used to eat takeaway alot).
If you want to get into pretty good shape going to the gym can really help.. You will need some type of resistance to help offset muscle loss from dieting (which lowers your metabolism).

what are my options
