Morons at the gym (the official thread)...

Ever since then, I just look around and everybody has stayed the same size, while I have slowly grown, in size and strength.

I've also noticed this. I've been to about 3 different gyms, off-and-on for the past 10 years. Every once in awhile I'll return to an older gym after 2-3 years and see the same guys and they look exactly the same. I don't understand it.

There was one PT at the gym I used to lift at (24hr Fitness) who'd put his female clients on the ab/adductor machine and then roll up a stability ball for a front row seat. Well to be fair, it's a pretty complex move that requires careful observation and instruction

One of the perks of being a PT with female clients! :p

i dunno dude a lotta those chicks with the PTs are fat and wear spandex so you can see their ass ripples when they use the hamstring machine.

i see that a lot too bro. theres a few guys that ive been seeing in the gym off and on for the last 8-9 years, and they are the exact same size, except maybe a little fatter. and these are guys that work out regularly, as in i see them several times a week.

continuation from the "pregnant" curler.. this fucker practically does his curls while screaming for his life like he's giving birth.. bitch..

so anyway, i saw him again yesterday yelling his lungs out with 20kg's on the ez bar and so i just laughed to myself(so did everyone else).. and then he throws on 70kg on the bar = 90kg.. and starts doing the worst speed shrugs ever.. he wasn't even rotating his shoulders.. just moving em up and down up down up down.. so i decided to just keep my thoughts to my self when the fucker did something i HAD to intervene..

he drops the bar, walks around like he's some big shit now..(only weighs aprrox 70kg's i think.. your typical boyish curl fanatic).. and comes back to pick the weight of the floor with lower back TOTALLY bent, legs straight and just pulls the weight of the floor like the worst SLDL ever!! and i had to tell him about the back issue.. and this is how it went..

me : "hey dude, just out of good will. pls don't ever lift the bar off the floor with
your back bent like that cuz you'll screw it up sooner or later.."

idiot : " oh yeah.. i knew i should be using my neck to pull it up too"

at that point i just gave him the eye brow.. (dwayne johnson aka The Rock) and continued with my power cleans.. damn i wish it was legal to smack the shit out of anyone who doesn't know how to lift properly.. F*CK!!!!

sorry for the rant..
Ummmmmm you're not supposed to roll your shoulders when you do shrugs bro. The movement is supposed to be straight up and down.

This guy, who calls himself an expert trainer, once told another guy in the gym that his muscles will shrink if he wears tight shirts...

I enjoy doing trap work overhead - not sure how I could rotate my shoulders (not that I would anyway)- someone is going to have to tell my traps to quit growing so damm much b/c they aren't getting it.

I saw a guy with 3 little minions at the gym trying to "teach" them how to train. So he gets them on the smith machine to do flat bench, and makes them hold the weight right above their chest for a few seconds on every rep, then on the last rep, makes them hold it there for like 15 seconds. Then, after smith machine flat bench, he brings them over to do hammer curls, and he grabs the 35s, and uses more back to curl it then most people use to deadlift
