Like ya'll bitches wasn't believing me when I told ya'll this shit last week. Hmmph!
*finger*
Anyway, I was talking to her tits today earlier and she was all, like interupting my conversation with them.
But here's the 411.
She works for Seminole Tribe of Florida. They own the HR Casino and the one where they are building the new hotel. She works at the site of the new hotel. I don't know about HR, but they definately have poker at the new one. She deals and she makes $35 per hour, plus whatever tips they give her. (though she has to give up 25% of her tips for floor personnel. The people that make change, bring drinks to players, etc..)
She took some little 4 week course about 5 years ago for dealing cards. They gave her a one week training course to brush her up and get her back into the groove. She never worked as a dealer or anything before. She took the course back then with her ex boyfriend who was planning to be dealer in Vegas. It was just something for them to do together.
She gets free medical, free dental, 401K w/ profit sharing, 4 day work week, 4 weeks vacation per year, 5 personal days, 5 sick days, tuition reimbursement, free meal program (people working 4 hours and under get 1/2 off from any resturant in the casino, people work more than 4 hours get their meal free).
Also the casino is divided up into sections... and then subsections. A section contains both slots and poker tables, a subsection (within the section) contains slots or poker. Whenever a slot player hits the jackpot (which is considered anything over 1000 dollars) all the workers for that section (including poker dealers) get 3% of the jackpot paid them as a bonus. Whenever a poker player bags a lot overall (not sure about this as it changes) everyone (including the people that tend the slot area) gets 3% of whatever overall amount it was.
It sounds like she has got a good setup here. She said that she has been there for one payday so far (others got paid, she didn't because her time period isn't up) and she said that the lowest paid person in her section was a girl that walks around giving change to slot players. She worked 30 hours and made $640 in one week.
Not bad.
