milk vs whey protein

i know that after a workout u need to have protein within an hour...my question is....is nonfat milk ok after a workout or is whey protein powder the best think for after a workout?

Non-fact milk is predominantly caisin (slow releasing), and the lactose carbs are low GI. Therefore, whey is best post workout

I don't have it handy, but I recently read a study carried out at McMaster University that said that milk was just as good for hypertrophy, if not better, than whey protein alone post-workout. I use about 1-2 cups of 1% milk and 1.5 scoops of whey protein post-workout. I think it's over-doing it a bit on the protein some days.

Ditto on the Skim Milk and Whey when I can get it.
Pre workout in the AM always and before bed as I'm at home.

Otherwise due to availability of milk, I mix the whey in water post workout.

Milk and Whey together seems like a good moderate approach with the different digestive rates of each complementing each other.
