My standard late night snack is usually a protein shake which consists of:

1 frozen banana chopped into pieces
1 serving of whey (i use standard vanilla, might try another some day)
1 cup of milk (low fat)

Blend well ,its a tasty treat

Anyways im just curious on what you guys/gals like to eat late at night, also if i decide to eat a small meal what would be the best at that time of the hour? Considering im not tryin to add extra weight to my midsection

sugar free jello with fat free whipped creme

or non fat yogurt with almonds i a nice treat

raw almonds not salt

My favorite "anytime" snack is 4 or 5 envelopes of quaker "peaches and cream" oatmeal. 4 packs= Cal's: 520, protein: 12 grams, carbs: 108, fat: 10.

Don't worry, I burn it off easily.

Lord I love that stuff.

Protein Shake (no carbs) or Egg whites...

Why anyone would take carbs in right before bed is beyond me, regardless if you're bulking or cutting it doesn't do you much good. Unless you're going for the fat powerlifter look...

Oh I agree it's not the best time to eat such foods but heck, I love it and eat it when every I get the urge and it's pretty much my only dietary vice.

I hear ya! Hell, I'd love to eat cake and chips everyday too... But I have goals and thats not going to get me any closer.

Honestly, the best thing I've ever found to kill the midnight cravings is thick ass protein shakes done in the Blender. Ice, Egg whites, Natty PB, and some Chocolate protein makes a shake so thick it weighs down your stomach and kills your hunger.

Im always starving around 10 every night, protein shakes seem to b the only way to fill me up without adding extra flab to my midsection....pizza is still my damn weekness, ive been known to wake up in the middle of the night and hit the fridge sometimes i really dont even remember it, thats not a good thing considering it can be cold pizza

sugar free chocolate jello pudding and a couple scoops of protein powder - mix it together in a bowl - gets real thick and tastes great... at least that what i keep telling myself.
