jagerbombme said:my normal diet looks like this
breakfast
10 eggs, 2 yolks, 1 packet instant oatmeal covered with frozen unsweetened berries and 1 16 oz glass of 100 percent juice.
Ditch the orange juice, have water, tea or coffee instead
next meal
serving of 1 of the following, chicken, turkey, no salt cottage cheese, whey isolate protien shake, or sometimes i'll eat a meal like this
chicken breast, 1/2 serving whole wheat pasta, greens
I don't get why you lads have whey protein shakes when you are eating meat. Ditch the protein shake
lunch
chicken or turkey breast, 1/2 serving whole wheat pasta, greens
OR
1 packet tuna with onions, tomatoes, bell pepper, jalapeno, fresh mushrooms, in a romaine lettuce wrap and serving of greens
Looks good as long as there is no mayo in the wrap. What is a serving?
next meal pre workout
serving of 1 of the following, chicken, turkey, no salt cottage cheese, whey isolate protien shake
Again with all the protein and shake????
post workout
whey isolate shake, 8 oz of 100 percent fruit juice
I will have to check on this again, but fructose, the sugar in fruit, does not ilicit and insulin response, so these carbs will not be feeding your muscles, but your liver. Your natural whole wheat bread (what is HFCS?)
dinner
here's where i fuck myself cause i need more discipline cause i'm usually so fucking hungry by this time
1 sandwich, all natty pb and sugar free jelly on whole grain HFCS free bread and some almonds or walnuts
should i eat another meal like this
chicken or turkey breast, 1/2 serving whole wheat pasta, greens
OR
1 packet tuna with onions, tomatoes, bell pepper, jalapeno, fresh mushrooms, in a romaine lettuce wrap and serving of greens
Either one of these is cool
thanks
Just a couple of things
1. Check your portion sizes, your diet is quite healthy, but too many calories, whether or not they are healthy or junk food will be stored as fat.
2. I am a bit of a fan of food combining, or avoiding some combinations. For example, I do think it is best to eat fruit on its own, and it is probably best taken before you work out
3. I am also a fan of keeping saturated fats and carbs apart.
4. Carb tapering or carb curfews, so evening meals only have fibrous carbs in them, rather than starchy carbs. It is also a great time to eat your healthy fats then, olive oil on salad or steamed veg for example, with a bit of lemon juice, freshly ground black pepper, YUM
