Lots of protein on off days too?

Just curious to know if people go by the 1.5x to 2x gm of protein per body weight pound only on gym days or off days too.

Hell yes, you don't just grow because you worked out Bro. Use every day even when off cycle, just cut back a bit. Protein, it's what's for dinner!!!

No shit you have to eat protein on off days too but do you strive for the 2x? I have dificulty reaching that on off days and wind up force feeding myself 3 shakes before I go to bed. I'm 225lbs which comes out to 450 gms of protein by the 2x rule.

You should eat a lot of protein every day, it lessons the muscle loss when off cycle and increases the muscle gain while on cycle.

Well, being that you grow only while at rest...esspecially off days since you are completely at rest, yes you need to keep the protein intake as high as training days. Optimal growth is acheived on rest days because you have not created a catabolic environment through training on that day. This sets up a prime oporitunity to recover and regenerate damaged muscle tissue...thus hypertrophy. I personally change nothing in my diet on rest days. It's the exact same as training days. Just because you're not training on a particular day does not mean you're not growing...quite the opposite actually.

I consume 300-350 grams seven days a week, i weigh 252 right now with 12% body fat so im not at 1.5 or 2.0, but its to hard to eat that much cause i bloat and feel like a puffy gorilla.
I figure better to keep it steady at 300-350 a day, especially on off days, that when you grow.:D

Man!!!

That does make sense and on my off days usually on the weekend, I tend to be lazy and just dont have an appetite, add drinking profusely on the nights and I must be screwing all the work up I did during the week..
