Losing the drive

Slumps suck bro, and we all go through them.

You could buy some aroma therapy candles, bathsalts, Kenny G CD, Enya and a rubber ducky, and brew a spot of herbal tea.

Or

I could present you with a formal challenge if that would help get your ass moving;)

I'm serious about the second one by the way:)

hmm

I have something similar, I am constantly feeling like crap.. though for me lifting is the only thing that makes me feel any better.. it helps me take my mind off how much I think life sucks.. and the general rush I get from it is good.. makes me feel great for a while after even.. but then I feel terrible again.. I've felt like such shit since things between me and my girlfriend have become bad.. and it's getting worse... sometimes I wonder why I bother living

See a psychiatrist immediately. There's no reason to feel terrible when you can feel better. Depending on how long this has gone on, you may have a mood disorder (EG, acute or chronic depression, bipolar disorder, etc).

Funny thing about being a psych major (no insult intended) is that it is easy to see that almost all people could fit into some categories for diagnosis.

Believe me, none taken. It's impossible to go about my day and not make snap diagnoses of ...well...everybody. Not to diminish what variation is feeling. Lack of interest in things that used to bring one pleasure is a big symptom of depression.

I have been going through the same thing lately. Each day, it's harder to get out to the gym. Once I'm there, after abit, I feel pretty good. But, it just seems harder and harder to get motivated.
Even hitting PR's and seeing changes in my body doesn't seem to help much. Just feel tired all the time.....but if I skip working out, I feel worse....

Just another rant......
