List your 5 most effective cutting foods.

Jeez! Has anyone else noticed that there have been 122 views to this thread and only 2 responses so far?

Hahahahaha!!! C'mon, there aren't really any right or wrong answers. (Unless you put down Double Stuff Oreos and Cream Filled Doughnuts  )

Just let us know what you think is a good diet food!

I won't fail you for the semester, I swear...

I think the reason why there were so many views and no responses is that all the 'cutting foods' are already listed, I can't think of much else. I do eat something religously and I don't care and don't know how effective a cutting food it is, that's my penaut butter (just peanuts) and banana on whole wheat bread in the morning. Whoa energy!

of course egg whites
i eat albacore tuna instead of regular tuna
not sure difference for cutting but it has more omega3s and 6s than most fish
thats good fats and good for adipose loss
i'll have to try the salsa thing, that could be a good change up. what do u use it in?

My cutting foods are:

Tuna
Chicken
98% lean ground beef(From the butcher and EXPENSIVE)
Artichokes
Flounder
Salmon

I am a fish guy, I could probably eat 9-10 cans of tuna a week, and around 2-3lbs salmon, 3lbs Flounder, 4-5lbs chicken..... Even on cutting I eat a ton, but at least there are near zero carbs in everything

tuna
bran cereal
beef jerkey
extra lean ground turkey
v-8

how the hell do i survive on this shit??? thank god for the weekends (beer and oatmeal cookies!!)

I am a salsa addict. You name it, egg whites, chicken, rice, veggies, ect. It adds alot of flavor with out extra fat/calories, but some brands are a little high in sodium, but usually, not too bad. Plus, I don't use tons, I usually use about 1/4-1/2 cup.

I also use mustard on my salads and veggies. It gives any food a BANG. I like to mix vinegar and mustard for salad dressings as well. Or, I just use a dash of lemon pepper, which works great!

Different way to eat the tuna.

Ok, some may think it sounds nasty as hell. I think most people would agree when eating tuna every day for weeks after weeks it starts to taste like crap. So I came up with a different way to eat it. I started to add Taco Bell Hot Sauce and some lime juice, tastes a hell of a lot better then it might sound. I have yet to find anyone else that has tried this combo on there own. I have had many friends try it and they loved it. Don't know if anyone cares but I thought I would post.

Mithc1301...actually that sounds good to me. i totally understand the too much tuna crap. umm.. i'm gonna try that. i suck those taco bell packets anyway. hehe....
maybe we are just both sick..

I had a big problem with carbs such as something crunchy. I started eating some BBQ pig skins, absolutely NO carbs! They really satisfy my crunchy crave and I am not getting carbs!

My top three cutting foods...

1) Large Coffee Colata from Dunks
(Extra sugar)
2) Number 9 Luncheon special at the ChinaHouse
(Extra MSG)
3) 3 Packs of Marlboro Lights
(lights for cutting of course)
4) 12 Pack of Sam Adams
(Summer Brew for the cutting season)
5) One Big Fat Chick at the club
(can't speak english, alway's a plus)

1. slow-cooking oatmeal
2. egg whites
3. tuna with black beans
4. chiken breast
5. why protein
6. Labrada Lean body MRS

one is instant and the other is slow cooking...lol :D

but i think like the instant is cut smaller or something like that and the slow cooking is larger, also i know the slow is way lower in the GI index..

salmon
udo's oil
green beans
almonds
and as i can eat a loaf of bread at a sitting, low carb tortilla's are on my list :p

veggies till they come out your ears... chicken, fish lots of fish, lean turkey, brown rice, egg whites, oatmeal, pinto beans, thats mainly all my diet consists of.. yes sounds bland but there are 2 or 3 quick and easy and healthy ways to cook all this stuff to keep it from getting old. my only vice is KETCHUP... yum i eat it on everything like its going out of style. btw, i am gonna get slammed for saying this this but here goes.. I think all protein shakes and meal replacements are bullshit.. you cant beat real food..

some of you are overthinking the simple concept of a diet :o

This genius said "my top three", then proceeded to list 5...lol

Anyway, Salmon is a good choice, jack mackerel is CHEAP AS FUCK (maybe as cheap as tuna). I like buying prepackaged salad instead of ripping up lettuce heads, but I hate the fucking shredded carrots and red cabbage (which btw, one of the worst vegetables ever), so I've taken to getting spinach instead.

I've heard that you burn more calories eating and digesting celery than the food itself....????

That is unless you cover it with peanut butter....

It is called a negative calories food

= so low in calories that the body has to use more of its stored energy to help digest and absorb the nutrients

you eat the grill with mustard or tabasco sauce????? Some people truly amaze me.....did you flunk 3rd grade?

Bro, so salmon is good stuff right? just recently started cutting cals, and i have had salmon 2 nights in a row, not too much of it though, and my cutting is unbelivable. Would it be ok to eat it 5 out of 7 nights? or is that too much fish oil on that? and would i be gettting all the nessesary fish oils out of salmon?

This thread cracks me up......think about the topic..........ANYTHING (well, almost) could be a cutting food, propotionally............I think I eat the same foods cutting or bulking, give or take a few...just more of them and more often...........when trying to add mass.........honestly, nothing really changes......maybe nix the dairy, reduce carbs in the PM, switch from potatoes to yams...from past/rice to brown rice and oats......its all good........

Of course most of the main ones have been listed (chicken, fish, turkey)

I use the meatless burgers too, they're like 80 calories and 13 grams of protien.
Whiting fillets are good and cheap.
Turkey sausage
venision
liquid eggs
sweet potatoes
tabasco sauce
Mrs. Dash
Mini Carb hot cereal (check out http://carbsense.com/products/prod_minicarb_cereal_choc.htm)

I'm sure there are a few more staples I could list, but I've already gone over my five.
