Hey guys,

I don't know if any of you have ever wondered if the hotel you're going to stay at in Vegas has a gym or not. Just thought I'd start a list so people booking rooms in Vegas can get a good heads up on what to expect. Most people who go to Vegas go to drink, booze, screw and win/lose money. I do all of that, too, but I also lift weights there during the day.

Okay here it goes.

Luxor- Power rack with barbell and about 400 pounds in plates. Has a flat bench. Dip/Pull up station. Lat pulldown. Dumbells going up to 60 if I remember correctly. A lot of treadmills. Has leg press machine, leg curls, extensions.

Stratosphere- Incline bench press, flat bench, a cable pull machine. Pullup bar. Dip station. A lot of treadmills. Can do deadlift here if you take bar from flat bench. Floor is rubber coated. Has a good assortment of dumbells. Forget how much they go up to.

The Palazzo/Venetian has a very well equipped gym. You should be able to find/do anything you'd want here.. again the biggest problem is the dumbbells only go to 80lbs. Also, I remember looking for a belt to strap some extra weight to me and there were none to be found. And if wall climbing spikes your interest, they have that here too.

I know they also have all sorts of classes and I pretty sure they can do hydrostatic bodyfat testing here as well, but I'm not completely certain on that one.

I've heard that the best idea for Vegas (or most other USA vacation spots), is to buy a day pass to a real gym. I don't know who is offering those right now, but usually you can walk in, say you're moving to the area, and they'll nearly force you to take a free week pass. Just be sure not to give your credit card number ;) . Tell them you'll pay cash up front if you join later.
