first off i hope everyone is feeling ok on this sad day....

second thank you everyone for your well wishes through the weekend :) lol!! i def feel alot better this morning!

was away again the whole weekend up in mass. for a wedding....we got there saturday morning after a horrible 3 hour drive...oh and my fiance had fawking rollers in her hair the whole time so she looked like peggy bundy from married with children up until the ceremony...so that was cool :rolleyes:

we finally get there and the skies open up and it starts pouring like the mutha!!!! then after about 10 minutes of firece rain it starts hailing and the rain stopped....just hail now...so i'm getting a little concerned...i've seen the movie twister...i know what's up....hail means tornado's. so i go downstairs and ask the guy at the front desk if they issued a weather warning...he said no....i asked if they had a basement...he said no.....i asked him if he thinks this could brew a tornado...he said no....but then followed up with a response that was something like this "although 2 years ago a tornado whipped through here and tore up the other side of the street pretty bad...but i wouldn't worry about it. just get in your bathtub and you'll be fine"
:worried: so needless to say i started drinking to calm myself down... :chomp:

anyway...not much of a diet this weekend...ate what i could when i could...had a few filet mignons at the dinner though :)

diet and trainng log to follow....

he was extremely unphased by the glaciers that were falling from the sky...maybe b/c he was like 75 and didn't care what the hell happened...i don't know..i'm not a doctor

meal 1]
- mhp shake w/ milk and 1/2 cup of oats
- 2 gluc
- vitamins and green tea

meal 2
- 2 cups of eggwhites w/ 1cup of oats

meal 3
- 2 ground chicken patties with cheese and broccoli
- 3/4 cup of brown rice

meal 4
- 1 can of tuna
- 1 cup of oats

PWO
- mhp shake w/ milk and 1/2 cup of oats and a banana

meal 5
- grilled chicken cooked in olive oil with 3/4 cup of rice
- green beans

meal 6
- maybe some cooked ham...not sure yet.

yesterday's training log

chest- incline hammer strength 2x12 2 plates
- flat hammer strength 2x12 2 plates

back- wide grip pull downs 2x12 170 pr
- t-bar rows with close grip on the cable machine...first time i ever tried this and i have to say it felt awesome. my gym doesn't have a place where i can do free weight t-bar rows....so i tried doing it this way. i racked it and it was a little light so i added some free weights to the stack. i did 2x15

shoulders- front military press on smith machine (i was in a rush and someone was on the free weight set up) 2x15 165lbs i guess about 145lbs free weights. took advantage of the machine and did them slow and controlled....had a great pump after these 2 sets.
-side laterals 1x15 30lbs
-upright rows 1x12 100lbs pr

arms
- ez curls 2x12 90lbs extremely strcit form...chest out...back straight.
- pushdowns 2x12

abs
- hanging leg raises 4x15-20


going to do some legs and cardio later tonight.....
 
thx brother...shoulders felt great for the most part....left one hurt a little for chest which basically always prevents me from getting my last 2 reps out...so i make myself do the last 2 super slow...try and get the most out of it.

back hurt...but that's aight. standing ohp is prob not a great idea so i shyed away from that.. i'm going for my epidoral shot next week... :worried: a little scared but i think it will be good for me.

meals for the day

meal 1
- mhp shake with water and 1 cup of oats
- vitamins and green tea
- 2 gluc

meal 2
- 2 cups of lana's eggwhites
- 3/4 cup of oats

meal 3
- 2 chicken patties with grated cheese and broccoli rabe
- about 2 servings of multigrain pasta which is about 70g of carbs and 20g of protein. i use barilla and it's awesome...lotta fiber and only 1g of sugar per serving. been using this since i started getting sick of rice...

meal 4
- 1 can of tuna
- 3/4 cup of oatmeal

meal 5
- broker taking me to great steak place called del frisco's i'll prob order some crab cakes and a filet.....i don't think i'll be able to squeeze in another meal as i'm sure this meal will be around 1000 cals

what carb sources are you limiting yourself to? i don't think the nutrition label is that bad....10g of protein, 37g of carbs 1g of sugar....maybe a good cheat meal for you pre contest...even though i think it's ok.

ok...last night got home felt like shit. ended up not going to dinner b/c my allergies were killing me...didn't make it to the gym either and i had skipped a meal which was supposed to be tuna and oatmeal.

so i went from 1pm to 6pm without eating.....i needed to get those cals in fast so i could try and eat another meal later on that night. so i made 2 cans of chef boyardee which is about 900 cals :chomp: :evil: i took 2 gluc with it even though the carbs were over 120g :worried: has anyone here taken more then 2 glucs at one time? i want to take 3 or 4 b/c of my huge meal but wasn't sure if that was a good idea.

anyway....feeling much better today...i def feel like i have drank way too much over the course of this diet and i have let myself feel guilt free for stuff i prob shouldn't be eating. i've been getting lazy with my cooking my meals and yesterday was the first day i missed a lifting day in the gym in about 6 months :( i have to shape up and kick this diet into full gear. i weigh 179lbs up from 163 3 weeks ago....a large protion of that is fat and water which pisses me off. going to finish this week and then next week of lean bulking and then i hit it into a new gear and strip down to under 8%
 
lol.... yup, i've popped Glucorell-R like pez candy when I've gone out and had pizza, ice cream, beer... ect, whatever... Taking too much won't hurt, just don't do it alot, too much of anything, ect... u know :)

Nice bro... you'll finish out being a little over 180!!! That's great... and the ultimate goal is to be leaner and have more mass then the last cut.

ok cool...i know better for the next time....technically i prob should have had 4 with that crap meal lol

yeah i'll def be 180 no problem haha....i'm just a little upset b/c i set out for a clean bulk and then got lazy and tried to just get all my cals in no matter what it was. anyway, next time i cut i should have a little more mass to wrk with (i hope)

cardio has been kept under 30 minutes for this bulking diet.
 
well, for the most part i've been doing the treadmill...walking at 3.0 on 15% incline...tough as hell but it's a great workout....i like it better then the elliptical. although for HIIT i do the elliptical so i can sprint so to speak right away ya know...i don't have to wait for it to speed up

IMO is fine... he's put on weight... which means he's reaching his goal.

If he hadn't been gaining, then it'd be an issue.
 
1hr cardio a week is too much you think? i thought i was on the low end....i think if i didn;t do cardio my bf would be around 15%...i'm trying to keep it under 13% right now

What is the overall caloric breakdown? I'd nix that soy enriched MHP and go 1 cup oats, skim and pb in a shake..........

i usually have some tuna and 1 cup of oatmeal about an hour before training....yesterday i just packed poorly so all i had was some turkey :rolleyes:
right now daily cals are around 3500...i've gained good weight....from 163-180 (weighed myself this morning) in 3 1/2 weeks. gaining weight for me is really no prob at all...losing it is going to be the struggle.

hahaha...nah bro you know your stuff...i always listen to what people have to say....but in the end everyone knows their own body best. i know i went from 2000cals for 16 weeks to 3500 cals for the last 3.....def shocked the hell out of my body....first week i gained 9 lbs :chomp:

and yeah i'm def getting stronger...i tend not to push it too much and let my ego get the best of me b/c of my injuries but yeah...def getting stronger. up about 5-10lbs on almost everything ;)

hahaha...nah bro you know your stuff...i always listen to what people have to say....but in the end everyone knows their own body best. i know i went from 2000cals for 16 weeks to 3500 cals for the last 3.....def shocked the hell out of my body....first week i gained 9 lbs :chomp:

and yeah i'm def getting stronger...i tend not to push it too much and let my ego get the best of me b/c of my injuries but yeah...def getting stronger. up about 5-10lbs on almost everything ;)

not making to the gym tonight....i have a freaking wedding an hour away from where i live. so i'm gonna wake up...lift...take a yoga class w/ m fiance to see if it helps my back...sssshhhh...don't tell anyone.....eat alot...then do some HIIT early evening then i have lobster party to go to....tons of seafood and great food...gonna be popping at least 20 gluc's tomorrow lol

I bought a tape to do couples yoga, thank god it was at home. There was one move where I had to crouch down on all fours and he had to ly on my back facing the ceiling and he almost crushed me, I could barely breath and I was trying to speak out "GET OFF ME", it was quite funny.

the 2nd and last time I went to yoga I was 9 months prego and that is all I am going to say about that experience LOL

and mmmmmmmmmm garlic butter.
 
ok...didn't make it to yoga this morning....i totally backed out lol

melas so far today...

meal 1
- mhp shake with milk
-1 gluc
- vitamins and green tea

meal 2
- 5 whole eggs
- 2 pieces of whole wheat bread
- 1 large glass of oj
- 2 gluc

then a haircut....haven't gotten one since july when i shaved my head... :chomp:

lobster party at 7 so i will have to fit in a few more meals....gonna be tough but i'll have to do it!

yeah this weekend was extremely rough....lol. weddings and flying losbters and the giants coming from 17 points down to win in overtime against a team i can't stand....aaaahhhhh :)

a great weekend filled with my woman, and a lobster named roy that i tried to free at the party.....unsuccessfully i might add. the crowd turned violently against me and starting throwing tiny little muscles and piss clams at me until i surrendered his position. i must admit the lobsters were amazing and even though i befriended this one lobster who told me his name is roy i could understand the people's desires. the food was amazing...and for a brief time while heavily induced with sambuca so was my conversation with roy the red tailed lobster. :freak:

so besides me making friends with a lobster and trying to bring him home with me the weekend was...well...rather dull lol :p

diet and training log to follow later in the day.....

i really need to eat more...i keep not finishing my meals lately....there was about 2 tablespoons left of rice and about an ounce of chicken left i didn't eat at lunch...i just couldn't do it. :evil: getting in these clean cals is rough!!!

i have physcial therapy tonight at 5:30 for my back...i'm looking forward to it...hopefully this will help and i can stay natural and not have to go on the jucie lol!

HAHAHA....at this point i'm eating alot of protein at least over 250g a day...my main concern is getting all my carbs in. my daily protein is never a problem..

do people get full faster by eating carbs and protein together? can you eat more if i eat the proteina nd then eat the carbs? is that what your saying?

i allways eat them sepet sept at dinner.
