ok...measured my bf% this morning and it read 9.0% did it a few times and it came up with that number 3x in a row. my weight this morning was 163lbs. i'm pretty pumped with these numbers!! not sure if i should continue to keep hacking away and try to get to my goal of 7%-8% or throw in a bulk cycle for like 6 weeks maybe get to like 11% bf and cut again? what is the best thing to do here? i'm in no rush...no dates are set....i'm continuing to see progress throught this diet. ideally i would like to have a bit more bulk on me with the same bf%.... maybe 168-170lbs at 9% instead of 163lbs.... what you guys think? bulk or no bulk?

i have been dieting for about 20 weeks.....(if i didn't drink i prob could have gotten where i'm at in about 15 weeks but oh well.....we need to have fun right?)
Hmmmmm, I think it's just a matter of what YOU want to do. If you're really set on making 7-8% you might as well do it now while your so close. Shouldn't take much!

Awesome job on the 9%!

i keep saying i'm going to stop cutting and start bulking every week... but every week i keep seeing reults so it's hard to fix what's not broken. we'll see...i can never make up my mind!

meal 1
- mhp shake with 1/2 cup of oats
- multi
- vitamin e and b12
- fish oil
- 1 green tea (running low :worried: )

meal 2
- 2 cups of eggwhites cooekd in olive oil

meal 3
- 6oz chicken breat
- 1/2 cup of oatmeal
- 1 green tea

****rest of the day****

meal 4
- 1 can of tuna

pre-workout amp02 10 caps

pwo mhp shake w/ strawberries and banana

meal 5
- maybe catfish or my left over chicken soup i made that was insanely awesome!!! i'll post recipe innext post

meal 6
- handful of almonds and walnuts

recipe for homemade soup

skinless boneless chicken breasts
carrots
celeray
1 onion (don't cut up onion...put in whole and then take out when soup is done)
3 whole galric cloves (you can slice them or do as the onion...doesn't matter)
small dab of onion powder
small dab of garlic powder
1 tablespoon of cumin
5-8 chicken boullion cubes (i use 8)
1 tablespoon of paprika


fill 3/4 of a large pot with water. throw in everything and let it cook with a very small flame for about 2 hours....keep covered. i used whole wheat pasta as my noodle...besides the sodium it's a pretty clean meal...

let me know if anyone tries it....i love it!

back and shoulders felt great actually....no pain during the workout! i was extremely excited about that

chest
- flat flyes 2x15 30lbs
- hammer strength 2x12 2 plates and 10's on each side (was shocked my shoulder didn't give out....was very hammer. i think that set the tone for the rest of the workout)

back
- weighted pullups 2x9 w/ 25lb dumbell
- wide grip rows 2x12 150lbs (pumped about this lift as well)

shoulders
- seated dumbell presses 1x12 70lbs
- reverse flyes 1x15 30lbs
- front raises 1x12 30lbs
- upright rows 1x10 90lbs

arms
- seated curls 2x10 40lbs
- rope extensions 2x12

legs
- leg presses 2x12 3 plates

abs
- leg raises 3x15
- rope crunches 3x15

thanks jens....i should prob rephrase when i say no pain....my back def hurts...but there was no added pain doing the exercises lol....still a good thing though. :)

going to the doctor thursday to talk about my options...i'm leaning towards epidural steroid injections at this point....therapy just ain't doing the trick and at 27 i shouldn't be in pain bending over to pick up a piece of paper. i read the risks and the sides and both are very rare not that serious. they'll prob take a new mri since it's been over a year and the condition has prob gotten worse. by speaking to my friend who is a doc...i believe the disk is misplaced on my sciatic nerve b/c of the leg pain i have been experiencing....oh well...i'm a mess...but aftre these injections maybe i'll be able to throw a few plates on the bar and deadlift again......yaaaahhhhooooooooooo!!! :p

sure sure, you just want a legal way for those steriods! :)

I know you don't like the option of surgery but in the long term it may help you even more. my mom, mother in law, and father in law all had steriod injections, therapy for similar problems but ended up having surgeries and down time wasn't that bad and they feel soooo much better.

What ever you decide, cause I know everyone is different, I hope it works out for you! :heart: :)
 
thx ck....but unfortunatley for my condition surgery really isn't an option. unless it's crippling my daily activities where i can't even make it to work or something that's when surgery is opted....back surgery is always a last resort b/c it's extremely dangerous and the recovery time is extremely long. the doc keeps prescribing vic's for the pain...but i sware these docs today don't want to fix the problem....they just wan't to treat it....i don't even take the vic's...i have an addicitive personality lol!

yeah....had to leave work early yesterday...doc's appointment...had a bunch of things to do and before i knew it ....it was 7pm and i was beat. didn't even bother to turn on my computer home :rolleyes:

pre-workout 10 caps of amp 02 (firs time i'm taking 10 caps...but i think i'm ready for it!)

- prob chicken and green veggie

meal 6
- i have 1/2 a chicken sausage left in the fridge...it was pretty freaking good...prob polish that shit off tonight

herniated belly button- was rushed so much that i completely forgot...he stood by the door the whole time looking to get to the next patient.

i also wanted to check with him all the supp i'm taking...not that he would have any clue...he would have prob said stop taking them....

so basically my doc visit sucked and i had to take time from work to do it.... :mad:

yeah...doc's piss me off. my back doc keeps prescribing me vic's instead of listening to me....uuugggh!!!! they think they know everything...so far from the truth especially when i tcomes to training and supps etc

i'm trying the 10 caps tonight....i did 9 on wednesday. not sure if i'm getting a placebo effect or i just need to up the dosage again...but my pumps were not there after my last few workouts. i think it worked the first few times i used it....we'll see tonight if 10 gives me the same pump!

lol... depends on what else you've got goin' on in ur shake though. If it's whey, water and brocolli... I can't gaurantee great taste :verygood:

- side laterals 1x12 35lbs
- upright rows 1x12 90 lbs

- one arm preacher curls 2x12 30lbs (did these nice and slow...my arms were completely swollen after...pump was unreal)
- lying tri extensions 2x12 90 lbs

- hanging leg raises 3x20
- crunches 3x20

workout went well...wish i had a spotter on front presses i think i could have gotten 1-2 more...oh well.

going to do legs today followed by 20 minutes of cardio...i think i'll make every thursday my leg day....and keep the rest of the schedule as is...

thx man...means alot for my self confidence b/c i feel like i'm losing it! i'm busting my a$$ and i'm just not at that point where i want to be yet. i think my unrealistic view of how i should look would entail some gear but i'm not gonna mess around with that. i feel i can achieve that goal without it...

so time to bulk you think huh? that is def going to happen but it may have to wait a few more weeks ...although i am excitied about eating alot and not having to worry about eating too much oatmeal or ww pasta :)

You are making progress... well paper thin skin and vacularity comes with time... this is just a learning cut for you as was my first real time dieting...next time it's ON LIKE DONKEY KONG :chomp:

Well keep at it for a few more weeks...then LEAN bulk :)

-figure out when to start my bulking diet (sarge this is your fault)
-pick up some gloves for the fiance...I got her doing pull ups in the gym and her hands are all ripped up :) maybe i should get her on this site...hhmmm.
-play a few games of madden 07
-watch the giants beat the crap out of the jets tonight :chomp:
- get a good night sleep and prepare for a nice relazxng day by my pool tomorrow :)

That's a HUUUUGE caloric jump... if it was my body it'd go straight to my hips, lol... j/k my gut... but u get the point? Do you have a naturally fast metabolism? I used to be a fat kid, so mine likes to store fat whenever I overload it. Something to think about.... You know your body best, I'm just putting senerios out there to provoke thought :)


I think a 6 week refeed/mini bulk will be awesome for you, you're at frickin' 9% BF ... you can afford to go up to 12 or 13% and still look sick... but be a good amount bigger with some more muskles.

well when i was your age (holy shit i sound extremely old...quick kick me in the junk!!) i had a fast metabolism and was pretty much injury free...so i decided to just bulk (extremely dirty :evil: ) thinking getting back down again would be a breeze...

got up 205lbs from 175 lbs in 6 months...pretty lean...no 6pack..more like a 2 pack...i guess i was around 13% bf but then i kept injuring myself and i pretty much became a 200lb weakling...strength levels were gone from not powerlifitng anymore ...ever since then my metabolism has slowed tremendously...if i eat right and do my cardio like i'm supposed to then i don't think cutting will be a problem.

well when i was your age (holy shit i sound extremely old...quick kick me in the junk!!) i had a fast metabolism and was pretty much injury free...so i decided to just bulk (extremely dirty :evil: ) thinking getting back down again would be a breeze...

got up 205lbs from 175 lbs in 6 months...pretty lean...no 6pack..more like a 2 pack...i guess i was around 13% bf but then i kept injuring myself and i pretty much became a 200lb weakling...strength levels were gone from not powerlifitng anymore ...ever since then my metabolism has slowed tremendously...if i eat right and do my cardio like i'm supposed to then i don't think cutting will be a problem.

i've been slacking with my diet logs on the weekends....let's just say i ate alot and i ate often...

i'm trying not to feel to guilty about eating shrimp parm and fried chicken over the weekend but i am on a bulking diet and thats what i'm going to do!!! although all of my meals during the week will be just more oatmeal and brown rice...and a few more scoops of anpb before bed ;)

i weigh 165lbs this morning...up from 163lbs last thurs when i started the new diet. my plan is to do this until the last weekend of september...and start my cutting again at 175lbs. i would like to be 180lbs but that would require more of a dirty bulk i think...we'll see how i progress.

todays diet

meal 1
- mhp shake with 1/2 cup of oats
- multi, vit e and b12, fish oil, green tea

meal 2
- 1 cup of eggwhites, 3 whole eggs, 1/2 cup of oats

meal 3
- grilled chicken salad with low fat dressing

meal 4
- can if tuna and 1/2 cup of oats

PWO
- mhp shake w/ banana

meal 5
- grilled chicken, 1/2 cup of brown rice, green beans

meal 6
- 3-4 tbsp of anpb :evil:
 
yeah...i'm pretty excited about the diet....except sometimes i feel a little guilty about eating too much....i need to slap myself in the face and say "hey queer...your on a bulking diet...there's no food like bulking food!"

Good log my friend...although I bet you'll find out youll need about double the cals than this....I thought it was crazy too, but I'm 160lbs and bulking....currently on about 4300 cals.......maybe more.

yeah i think the daily macros have been around 3300 cals...i was cutting on 1800-2200. i'm trying to stay away from most of the dirty bulking foods...i'll throw some in every now and again but for the most part i'm keeping my protein intake almost the same....maybe about 30g more daily. carbs i have kept around 100g a day on my cutting cycle...i'm bumping to around 250g-300g..and fat was usually kept around 40g prob bumping it up around 80g. i will see how i progress the next week...i put on 2lbs since thurs...if i stop gaining weight i'll start upping the cals... :RADAR

2 whole eggs
tb of pb
- multi, vit e and b12, fish oil, green tea

meal 2
- 1 cup of eggwhites, 3 whole eggs, 1 cup of oats

- big yam, 8oz grilled chicken

meal 4
- can if tuna and apple
PWO
- gaotrade or dext, 25g whey

meal 5
- grilled chicken, 1 1/2 cup of brown rice, green beans

one more meal of pro carbs (1 cup oats, beef or chicken)

meal 6
- 2tbsp of anpb and cotage cheese or big flank steak and egg whites :evil:
it aint easy to do it...aint easy to pound a ton of cals....but doing it clean is the way! I still get 2 cheats a week, which are more than enough. yest. was 3 meals of ww pasta, corn on the cob, jello and cottage cheese and a huge huge thingy from stone cold creamery...that was a mild cheat.

I'll show u how Id change it....
 
i like that diet.....thx. i was thinking about bumping up the rice to 1 cup...1 1/2 cups is ALOT though! not sure i can eat that much hour after my pwo shake... was also thinking about adding in another meal somewhere if i can fit it. all in i'm eating 7x a day...i guess avg around 500 cals per meal. maybe set my alarm and eat around 3am...i'm pretty much up anway....hmmm...sounds like more anpb to me :)

I think 3tb of pb a day is PLENNNTYYY>........you need some more whole food, carbs and protein.....

if i had my own pb company one of my flavors would def be called sexual chocolate...but hey that's just me!

and i was also being serious about my 8 dvd's...this 310 area code kept calling me for weeks until i finally answered (fiance thought it was another chick or something)...turns out it was girls gone wild (actually i guess mny fiance was right lol) anyway......they offered me 8 dvd's for $20...i asked if i ordered them will they stop calling me...they said yes but i would have to call and cxl future orders as they are shipped out automatically after your first purchase each month.

this will interesting when they arrive..i live with the little woman so i have no idea how i'm going to explain this...no clue when or how i'm going to be able to watch them either....oh well...stay classy!

thx buns...yeah we fight every now and again....but i do usually make her laugh...i'll say something outrageous and she has to smile...then she'll try and give me like some sort of leg sweep followed by a kiss :) it's romantic!
