Working on filing my State Taxes..... Glad I have an Acctg Degree -- our state form is confusing!! And after being unemployed since last June -- I actually OWE taxes!! :mad:

I have no clue....well, yes, I do..... When you receive unemployment compensation, it's not taxed at the state level, but you still owe State Tax on the income. :rolleyes:

It's taxed @ the Federal Level, hence my Fed tax refund....

that is actually where the term "poor tax" originated

yep.....if you dont get the state wo withhold their portion of the unemployment(which is weird..the stae is taxing their own money)..you have to come up with it as if you were drawing a regular paycheck and did not pull taxes out

My mother had to pay taxes this year, she hasn't had a job since 1963.

I wish I could make this stuff up.

Well, here, there's no choice -- you can't take state tax out of state unemployment compensation....they just "don't do that" here :rolleyes:

Scrapple is a Pennsylvania Dutch thing -- closest thing it resembles is sausage, but it's in a loaf shape. It's a mix of pork scraps, cornmeal, spices & water. You fry it up & I like it with ketchup..... :p

Hey lady how's it going??? Well I was just reading through everyone's logs and noticed your insomnia..... Well I was having that also. I was talking with this doctor in my class and he mentioned supplementing with melatonin and hour before bed. I have been doing that and I have been sleeping much better. Might be worth a shot.
Anyway keep up the good work :)

Well, I take a prescription sleep aid nightly, which is stronger than melatonin.....so I'm kinda stuck when that doesn't work....

I have a SEVERE case of the munchies tonite....

I was calipered today @ 27% right after that....
 
Well again, tanita scales don't measure exactly the same thing as calipers. Calipers only get the skin fold pinch. Tanita scales are measuring impedence throughout the body, thus including all the internal fat as well. Plus they are sensitive to the amoutn of water, electrolytes, etc. in your system.

Well, I'm not sure the calipers were correct either as he only did the following sites: Tricep, Bicep, abdomen, back. No legs at all.

And one thing I'm curious about the caliper anyway -- what if it's a skin fold pinch & there's just a lot of skin but not a lot of fat?? Will the result be skewed??

Plus -- the booth at the fair was set up to get people to join their gym, so would they measure it higher for "sales" purposes??

This week in our city is "Restaurant Week" so we decided to go out to eat.

I'm glad u are liking the turkey burgers. Last nite I was makign my food for today and I just mawed on a 1/2 burger that I had left over. For 97% fat free, I just craved the fat. I sucked that puppy down like it a was a Dunkin Donut!

BTW have I mentioned that Dietex kills your appetite flat?
