It was self defense and he the jury found him NOT guilty. The warrant was also declared illegal by the judge as well as the whole procedure. People must understand that the Laval's PD is actually considered as one of the biggest joke in LE around the province and perhaps the whole country and since the last decande (at least).

Basically they had an illegal search warrant (not enough evidence to get one) issued for a regular entry (they used dynamic entry instead) and valid after 6am (they performed their moronic operation at night lol). Plus add to the fact that they used the good ol' "Blue Jeans Possee" instead of SWAT and/or uniformed officers. There's a reason why no other PDs will send a bunch of plain clothes screaming like mad apes into a suspicious house.

So in other words, the cops got what they deserved.

As I said, they fucked up the whole raid. A serious warrant would be done with cops wearing marked jackets (at least).

I don't view drug dealers as scum, I think my government who owns and operates all the liquor stores are worse than drug dealers since more people die from drinking than doing blow or weed.

I think drug dealers are entitled to make a living just as much as the government who sells booze and lottery tickets

lmao, they didn't find drugs, he's not convicted of drug trafficking, but he's already being crucified as a drug dealer. The warrant wasnt served correctly (per the article), and the cop was killed.

Did it say whether the gun he was killed with was legally owned, or was it one of the illegal ones?

The guy who shot the cop is now lashing out at the police dept because he's being portrayed as a drug dealer, which he claims he's not.

I also didn't mention, when the cops stormed this guys house, they shot his wife. She got lucky, it hit her in the arm. Had she died and left two kids w/out a Mom, this would have been a way different story
