Is this self defense or murder?

And for some reasons had none of these. As I said, good ol' blue jeans possee. That PD is straight from the 60's....

OK I give up. If they went into the house (all 8 policemen or something) and acted like they were robbing the guy, then yes, he had the right to shoot them. They do seem like idiots. I was assuming they did it with proper procedure when I read the first post. After 10 pages of posts, other info is coming out which may or may not sway the decision, but you still can't have regular, normal, honest, law abiding, police officers going into a house and risk being shot because it's OK. You simply can't have that.

Well, I said I guive up, then I keep arguing. Oh well.

Here it goes.

#1 -Murder- if the police did it according to the law.

#2- Self defense- if the police were the Bad News Bears who just got off the set of Jerry Springer Show.

Now the Workman's compensation board is investigation and will possibly files charges against the PD.... lol

Like Manny said, he was aquitted. Not guilty. The jury saw it as self defense

Then justice was served.

IMO the judicial system balances everything out in the end.

I agree with you... You can't allow it.

It this situation... I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this... I skipped about 5 pages of posts.

If the cops know they are going in with out announcing themselves first. Shouldn't they have done their research and if they had they should have known that this guy had legally purchased firearms.(I'm assuming Canada has some kind of regulations and records of gun purchases on file.) If they had know this maybe they would have approached the situation differently. And maybe the cop would still be alive.
