Im a personal trainer and this field has got hit big time with this economy...i now make 30% less than i use to, so am thinking of making a switch to PT. Anyone know of anyone who is a PT...poistives and negatives about the industry...thanks

really...im looking at the salaries and the avg is around 75k...at least in nj thats not that much...its decent though.

hmmm...thanks guys...i would be interested in having my own practice....just would need some exp before i do all that

It's a good field to get into because insurance covers physical therapy most of the time. That helps recession-proof it a little bit.

'cept when peeps are laid-off. . .and don't have any insurance. . .like right now. . .

couple of d00ds from the gym are physical therapists. . .they make nice money. . .especially in our area. . .and they really seem to enjoy their jobs. . .they are both VERY mellow, very patient. . .i think that's kind of a requirement. . .

Seems like a good profession to me. People make great money and there are plenty of opportunity for it.
