This is my Routine that I do 1 Day On, 1 day Off. Once in a while I take 2 days off if feeling overtrained. Does this sound like an insane amount of excercise? Foolishly excessive? I have been doing it a while and like it. Overall, I feel pretty solid.

6AM Morning, empty stomach + EC

Stretch
5 Min warmup on Elliptical

Squats 1 warm up set, 3 Sets of 5-8

Incline BB Press 3 sets

Incline DB Flye 2 sets

Flat bench Close Grip press 1 set

Flat bench Reverse grip press 1 set

Flat bench press 3 sets

Seated Rows 3 sets

Decline Bench press 3 sets

Decline DB Flye 2 sets

Pec Dec 3 sets

DB curls into DB overhead press 2sets

BB Shrugs 1 set

Wrist Curls 1 set

Hanging Leg Raise 2 sets
Leg Raise 2 sets

Twisting Ab crunches on Ball 3 sets

Pullups 1 set

7:15 AM Whey shake
a little posing.........
5-8 Min Cool down on elliptical

Ab Machine 1 set

Overhead pulldown machine 1 set

Dips 3 sets

then, by 8AM I am eating Eggwhites with FF cheese, EFA blend, MultiV, and small protein shake .

I get majority of the workout done in about an hour, but I know its alot. I am leaning twoards splitting it all up but wanted to hear what yall thought.

I'm not a big believer in the full body workout thing. But if it's working for you, fine. The only real mistake you are making is doing that kind of workout on a completely empty stomach.

Thanks for the Reply GT,

So...do you think my routine in cannabalizing muscle?

Whatta ya suggest, a some protein before my workout?
Would that hinder fat loss?

Thanks

I'm with gymtime....eat.

I don't think it's excesive in terms of volume, but I think you'd be better off doing less movements for more sets. You don't have to use every machine/movement just because its available to you.

2nd, if you're trying to grow, you need to heal. Unless you are seriously "ON," you need to split that up.

Also, while we're talking about fuel, not only are you ripping up your muscles in a fasted state, but you're adding in an EC stack which inhibits glycogen uptake. I'd toss the EC, and replace it with oats.

I could take two of your muscles, and do two moves each, that would take 30 mins or less, and leave you crawling out of the gym. More is not better.

Damn, I would LOVE that Spatts! If I could safely perform some lifts that REALLY left me Torn up I would love it.
What Kind of Split (in General) would you recommend?

Thanks for the replies!

Maybe its just me but I conted over 30sets, damn I just can't see how you can put full intensity inot all your sets with that much volume. Shit I rarely go over 10 sets for major body parts and I can barely move when I get done..... I really think that too many of your sets are not done with either enough intensity and too many bodyparts

If I understand you correctly you're training every 48 hours. I, as well as others, wait twice that amount of time to do the same exercise again. My current split and exercises:

Day 1: narrow bench, dumbell bench, JM press

Day 2: Dead lift, leg curls, bent rows, squat, quad ext., calf raises

Day 3: Dips, incline dumbell press, upright row, forearm curls, concentration curls, preacher curls, grip exerciser

Day 4: Nothing
