I found in Flex an article by Mike Matarazo on eating for size. And he said that red meat is the best choice.

So I keep wondering. Why is red meat better than say, beef or turkey?

Any ideas? What does red meat contains that is so good? and isn't it harder to digest than normal (white) meat? reply please!

thanks!

red is the best because it has the most protein and that's what makes you grow

But how much harder is it to digest than normal meats? Do you eat red meat? do you feel any difference between the 2?

reply please!

actually due to its fat content red meat will have less protein in an equal sized piece then leaner meats ( chicken and turkey, etc.). The reason red meat is good is due to its high creatine content, and a lot of vitamins. I love red meat it should deffinatley be part of your diet. If you drain your ground beef or cut all visible fat from lean choices such as (round steaks) it can also be a low fat addition to your diet.

dont eliminate red meat.....

just make the cuts of meat are lean cuts....anything that says rib ofcourse is very high in fat content....lean is the best way to go.
