Hey man I'm still a young kid and I feel like a dick even putting input into this topic because it's like someone with a hangnail complaining to someone with cancer. But here goes anyway...
My GF of 6 months left the country for a few months and said we'd always be together, and we'll do this and that when she comes back, etc. We even lost our virginity to each other the day she left, all that good stuff. After 2 weeks she completely breaks off contact with me, stops texting me, blocks me on AIM, and hangs up on me when I call her. No warning or anything, one minute it's "i love you so much I think of you every minute" and the next its "hello? *click*" Lo and behold her friend just told me she was with some other dude. Yay.
I guess the point of my expose is to confirm what a few other people have said: I guess lots of girls just want the excitement of being with someone, and the pleasure of having someone worship them. Whether it's you or some random dude is inconsiquential to them, i guess.
I have to say though that in the long run, you will probably be glad that you're not married to someone capable of doing this to you. I think it takes a few weeks or maybe even months for the emotional side to wear off and for the logic to kick in. Good luck man.
