Is it necessary to squat and leg press?

I love to squat, but despise the leg press. Is it necessary to do the leg press? Or is it crucial to full development?

There is no one excercise that is "crucial" for development. Excercise in itself, as opposed to being sedentary, is crucial for development.

Can you develop your legs doing squats, deads, hacks etc. without doing leg presses? Of course. However, I've always found leg presses to be an excellent compliment to squatting. I'll often do lps right after I squat. I think it's pretty much a staple for leg training.

Can you live without them? Sure. But IMO you're better off including them.

I would suggest using both I mean both are valuable tools in acheiving optimal leg development... squats are #1 for packing on mass to your lower body.. but leg presses I would say definitely come in 2nd. I dont know though bro I cant stand flat bench pressing and my chest is my best bodypart. I mean I have gained tons of mass and devlopement without what people say is the #1 exercise for your chest..

I do the same thing and have seen great results...I believe that you have to sompletely trash your legs to achieve growth.
