Is cardio couterproductive???????

depends on your calorie intake.eat a clean diet, train heavy ,and watch youc calories.you can add mass AND still have cardio as a part of the program.

I was always the type that I could do all the cardio in the world and it really never efffected my gains too much at all. I have never really ALL OUT bulked up though in the 5 years that I have been working out. I have moderately trained I dont know I mean I have never gone all out though tryin to add size/strength.

Depends on your goals bro. If you are after strictly size and mass then leave the cardio out until you want to cut up. If you are looking to stay fairly lean then by all means add the cardio. I once read a statement a couple years ago by an amateur bodybuilder that said, "If you are going to bulk then bulk and forget cardio...if you are going to cut then cut it up and hit that cardio. Don't try to mix and match cardio with bulking cause it will be counterproductive and you won't gain mass or cuts...you will just stall out and you won't achieve either of the desired effects you were after." I paraphrased that of course, but I think the guy has a good point. Take a long look at your goals and if you are purely after mass then forget the cardio. Use the cardio once you want to start defining that new mass you achieve while bulking.

I think if you keep it moderate and keep your calories up, it is a good thing to do regularly. Thirty to 40 minutes once or twice a week shouldn't hurt too much.

cheers guys, is this winstrol dude right............if i keep my cals high then surely ill still gain?????...ne way cheers 4 the replies

once a week at 40 mins will not do anything for mass loss. You should be fine. I do 65 minutesa a day for six days a week and i stay at about 170-175 year round. Depends what your goals are and how much you eat
