i think your canvas suit is too tight. if you cant get any air, it is going to make the weight seem heavy as hell.

canvas suits are not that forgiving.

BTW, it is pretty funny watching it come off my back. It happened so fast that I had a wtf just happened to me look. I did a quick check to make sure all my body parts were still working and then made sure the bar was ok. I would have hated to waste 500 bucks on the damn thing.
