Hi everyone! I am looking for some advice in regards to starting a career in personal training. I have always been physically active, working with weights, resistance bands and cardio, enjoy helping others when asked. I have two boys and this is the first opportunity that I have had to be able to try any pursue a career in PT.
Right now my plans are as follows. Work on my associate’s degree in exercise science or health and wellness, hit different gyms and classes, see if I can shadow or intern with a personal trainer. Once I have my associates and then work on my certification, which allows for a 60 hr internship. This is a route that a couple of people, trainers and college advisor, have recommended and would appreciate any thoughts on this.
Thank you everyone!
