Pullups : wide grip over hand
Chin ups " under hand grip
Pullups: Close grip (like on a V handle)
or any other variations.

I did close grip pull ups on a V handle over the bar yesterday and went side to side of the bar, as well as straight up with my head arched back.

I can do chins.

I can't do wide grip over hand pull ups.

I can only do very little reps without someone holding my toes.

I can do over hand wide grip pullups. I can only do 4-4 1/2 :D completely on my own and than I have my partner help me to get out 4 or so more. Unfortunately I will not be doing these for a while since my partner bruised his ribs on his dirtbike this weekend.:bawling:

can and do... pullups are a little weak, they aggravate my shoulder so i only do a set or two of 8 or so... i do them with wrist wraps and straps though... some people think its cheating :D

this was a big goal for me to reach... always wanted to be able to pull-up instead of resorting to pull-downs... every back day begins w/ pull-ups and a feeling of self-accomplishment :rolly:

Yes I can do them, but not very many. That is what really burns my butt!!!! It is such a wonderful way to build and strengthen lats, but I have not been able to go up on my reps. I did stop and dance around the first time I actually did one!!!! I had never been able to complete one in my entire life, until last year. The Gravitron is also a great help as it helps you work your way up to your own body weight, while still being able to complete the exercise effectively. Wish I had one here.

I love all the bodyweight exercises!

I do typical overhand pullups (with back exercises) and underhand chins (with bicep exercises) but not any of the other variations.
I'm working hardest on pulllups, and it pisses me off to no end that I can't do 12 yet, which has been a goal for some time. Can only do 10 at this point. Will get there soon

I"m good for a couple right now. Sort of been easy on my shoulders the last several months due to some soreness, but wrist wraps are good --- as long as you can reach up to wrap them, and then unwrap them before you get stuck hanging LOL!.

I love watching the big guys do them - you can really see what is being worked!

Dammit - MUST DO MORE PULL UPS!

I can do about 8 wide grip pullups, but then my grip starts to go. I've tried straps, but using the straps on the pullup thing at my gym feels really slippery, so I'm even worse with the straps. I find narrow grip pullups and chin ups easier than wide grips.

No matter what kind of weight I might try on pull downs, nothing works my back as thoroughly as pullups.

Hahaha, Sassy just reminded me of the time I got hung up doing pullups with gripper straps. One came undone, but not the other one, so I was stuck there hanging like a monkey!!!!! It was very funny. My husband tried to help me but was laughing so hard he nearly wet his pants!!!!!

I am definitely more carefull these days!!!
