Hi, after been given replies to my other posts titled, Am I overtraining? and Joint pain...I'm still not sure whether I am overtraining or not training correctly.

My current routine is Mon, Wed and Fri for weight training sessions.
On these sessions, I train all major body groups.
However, I've decided to leave squats for only monday.

I do 1 set of each exercise, sometimes it's not to muscular failure, as I don't have anybody spotting me, so bench press and squat are neglected when the point of stopping is about to be reached.maybe 2-5 reps short.

Is this kind of trainig ok for me to increase strength and muscle size.
I'd rather do all major body groups on one day, rather than do 5 sets of each etc.

Surely, there must be some ppl here who train all bodyparts on 1 day.

Plz give me ur advice ppl

listen to your body. what might be overtraining for some might not be for you - are you makeing any muscle gains or strength gains? are you moving back instead of forward in progress? adjust your routine to how your body feels and responds not to what someone else thinks of you routine.

I think most would call that a "maintenance" routine, IMO if you're going for strength and size, you should beat the hell out of one or two muscle groups a day (you can still just train 3 days a week, {4 is better :)}if that is your concern).

With one set per exercise, and not to failure, it is hard to imagine that overtraining is the problem with your joints.
