It is scary to go through things like open heart surgery being done on a loved one. Especially someone so close to us like a mom or dad 
Try to think positive, I mean better now than 40 years ago. We have much better technology and training for things like this now a days. I wish your mom a speedy and complete recovery. Godspeed

Good luck and prayers for your mom SK.
I'll be sending positive thoughts her way. I know it sounds cheesy but I really think that kind of thing makes a difference. My mom went through bypass surgery a while back and she completely recovered.

Well, today they postphoned her surgery. The woman has the flu grrrrrrrr so she isnt having it today. THank you guys for the prayers and words
Let me teill u what happened to me yesterday tho....My van caught on fire. I was about 1/2 way between fla and tenn when i stopped to get gas. My van is leaking steering wheel fluid mind u. Well it started smoking bad and i was like oh well...well i raised the hood to put more fluid in it and it was BURNING!!!!! they called the fire dept and the police dept. I was crying and shaking. I couldnt even use the phone i was shaking so much. Its ok. The van is in the shop at exit 101 in Georgia. 5 hours away. I am going to get it today i HOPE.....it only burned the windshield wiper wires(they needed fixed anyway) soooo that was my day yesterday

just think it will all be a memory soon that you will laugh about when you mom has recovered, best wishes

damn, glad you are okay
It's a lot easier and cheaper to just replace the wipers yourself instead of setting them ablaze looking to collect the insurance.
In all seriousness, glad to hear you're ok and I hope your mother feels better. Mine had 2 heart attacks and a collapsed stent replaced in the last 5 months.
