I am tired of hearing about bench shirts, belts, squat suits, wraps, etc.
I think they dull the distinction between athletes and you can find new types of PR like with or without a shirt or whatever.
I also like the old photos of guys like arnold squatting barefoot and such.
So to see who is truly strongest, without any differences between competitors, I propose the following:
A deadlifting meet where all of the lifts are done with no clothing on whatsoever, that's right, in the nude.
Seeing a guy bench 500, DL 700, and squat 900 in the nude would be awesome. That way you know beyond any doubt that that is the person's true strength coming through, not the bench shirt or squat suit helping them out.
I am not gay and I also know PLs are not the most beautiful peopel on the planet, but I don't care. It's about how strong you are, not how you look or what you wear.
What do you guys think (besides the logistical nightmare)?
