When I was fired from The Weather Channel it happened as soon as I got to work that night. I would have been more pissed if it happened after I worked the whole night. Getting layed off sucks any time it happens though. Sorry to hear it.

The way they do it here, is they start pressing you to finish big projects a couple of weeks before they know they're going to get rid of you and as soon as they are done, or close enough, see you later! My boss has let me in on it a few times and it sucks 'cause I see that person carrying on with work and I just keep thinking that the poor bastard has no clue that he won't be here next week. Specially when I hear them talking to someone and they'll say something like "I'll buy lunch next week" and in my head I'll say, "no you wont".
Well Gambino, I know it sucks but try to look at it as a new chapter in your life. A chapter where things get better.
