That website is misleading as it doesn't differentiate between the different meats of the tuna. Light tuna (the darker meat) retains less mercury than its pristine white Albacore counterpart. If you are eating chunk light tuna from the can it is actually better for you from a heavy metals standpoint than the more expensive stuff.

??? Did you scroll down? You can choose Ahi Tuna, Yellowfin, Albacore, chunk light ... and I just put in a weight and 12 oz then tried different tuna and it did calculate different percentages.

I'm not saying it's the end all and be-all, sugar, but I've seen other mercury calculators they're all about the same.

I try to stick with wild salmon personally :rolleyes:
