Ever say that about an exercise before?
I remember saying that about the flat bench press once...and I didn't do it for a long time.  I remember being stuck at 225 x 3 for months.  Granted...I was not training properly to overcome that battle...but I was stuck for a long time.  I picked a new exercise.
I did wide grip, elbows out dips for probably 6 months or more.  I would do dips then incline presses.  I remember really growing for a while and I would have killer dip sessions mainly because with every rep I was cussing the bench press.
The first time I went back to the flat bench press, I did 225 x 8 I think.  Not completely for sure...but I am pretty sure I did get 8 reps with it.  
Ever give up an exercise before????
