Well, I recently asked her about school -- she said she was finished & how it went, etc....she said fine. Ergo, IMO, she lied....not good...
Yep, she definitely lied, LOL. My parents know when I've done less than stellar because when I'm doing well I'll usually volunteer information whereas when I'm doing shitty I don't bring it up

But yeah, a dose of the "real world" should help her learn her lesson. Maybe a break from school would be beneficial to help her figure out what she wants to do with her life and get her priorities straight since there's no point in wasting money on school just to throw it away with a 1.0 GPA, but if she does take a break from it make sure she has her share of responsibilities so it's not an 'easy out' for her.
