This whole post shows how effective the liberal, anti-gun, PETA-type crowd has been in brainwashing the population into believing that hunters walk into the woods and leave the area decimated of all wildlife. Their constant referrel of deer as "Bambi" further cements the idea in children and women.

PETA, the Sierra Club, and all of the eco-socialist groups, combined, have done zilch for the benefit of wildlife when compared to the very group (hunters) that they despise.

I saw this in a movie once, can't remember the name, but this woman gets out of a cab in New York wearing a full Mink Coat....This PETA chick runs up and gets in her face and asks, " Do you know how many animals died to make that coat? "

The woman grinned and shot back, " Do you know how many animals I had to fuck to get this coat? "

I thought that was a classic line, but of course I am stoned so anything is pretty cool right now...heh heh heh

I think the confusion comes from the fact that most people accept the term "sport" as a physical activity requiring training. Thus the people that participate in the sport are deemed as atheletes. The 2 terms are one and the same in most peoples minds.

So when a fat hunter calls his hobby a sport, some people will balk at the notion. In reality a sport is anything you train for and compete against an opponent, so hunting fits the bill, so does car racing and bodybuilding.
