im trying to incorporate westide methods in a BODYBUILDING routine for a bodybuilder........how does this sound

how bout something like this..........

---------------saturday max effort

flat bench 2 sets of 2

incline 2 sets of 2

military press 2 sets of 2

widgrip chins 3 sets of 6

deadlifts 3 sets of 2

tricep nosebreakers 6 sets of 4

bicep curls 6 sets of 4

rear delt raises 3 sets of 5

---------------sunday max effort

squats 4 sets of 2

hamstring curls 3 sets of 6

--------------wednesday speed day weights at 60 percent

flat bench barbell or dumbell 3 sets of 3

incline bench barbell or dumbell 2 sets of 3

miltary press 3 sets of 3

close grip bench 4 sets of 5

front delt raises 3 sets of 5

deadlift 4 sets of 3

squats 3 sets of 3

leg pres 3 sets of 3

chinups 2 sets of 6

cable rows 3 sets of 6

bicep curls dumbell 4 sets of 5
 
I'd say it's not even close...beyond that I'm not sure where to start.

I would personally never do 2 ME days back-to-back. A lil CNS overkill.

Personally, I think Westside AS WRITTEN would almost be better for BB's than PL's. I have yet to see a PLer lacking size.

nclifter- take alook at the 9 week program in the articles section at elitefts.com . it will help you understand what a routine is supposed to look like.
 
Not even close. If you want to incorporate Westside training (powerlifting) into your bodybuilding routine I would just use some of the unique exercises (board presses, box squats, good-mornings, etc...) for variation. If you want to train for strength exclusively then hit the basic routine until you get the training cycle down.

I know what your views are on training gear and anabolics and I would appreciate it if you would keep them to yourself. If you want to discuss the aspects intelligently, I'm all for that, but you don't have the right to put down others for their choices. Good luck with your Westside training. A good decision on your part.
