yeah, i hear ya. i used to have nice short arms for benching, now i think i'm turning into a monkey

I have had about a dozen different builds in my life fellas. Just wait, there is no telling at your young ages what kind of build you will have as an adult.

Princess, you are quite a specimen. Impressive lifts.

Thread starter, give up the leg press, and never look back. they are a joke. I have never seen a leg press that would hold more weight than I can press, but I am not a great squatter (yet) because years of neglect have made my low back a horrifying weak link. You cannot squat what your back cannot hold, no matter how strong your legs are.

Work on the posterior chain if you want to be strong. The muscles that are the most important are in the back of your body. Mirror muscles won't squat triple and quadruple bodyweight.

I notice you have a light bench and heavy bench day, but you don't do that for squat and dead...just wondering why you decided on that. Also, do you do any speed work?

Sorry, just getting back to this board....

Nope, only do legs twice a week... squat Monday's and deads on Fridays. Pretty basic workout with three 'work' sets of the primary lifts and then a ton of accessories which I have posted on my site. So really, the two benches are my two upper body workouts for the week and the squat/dead combo take care of my two lower body workouts for the week. The combo seems to be working rather well for me so far.

I have not added any speed work into my workouts yet.

Can you please post your Bench-Deadlift-Squat

I have included Squats into my training regime, replacing leg presses. After doing leg presses for several years I noticed that my legs got stronger but not bigger.

Using your weights I should gain some idea of how much I should be squatting in relation to my bench and deadlifts. I know my squat sucks but I have only done it once so far. My leg presses were really strong, so hopefully I will see a good conversion of power from leg presses into squats.

Currently my lifts are:

Bench: 315lbs x 6
Deadlift: 495lbs x 1
Squat: 225lbs x 10

Please help guys.
Spend more time in the squat rack and none in the leg press machine.
