That's not how it works bor. When the cattle die they are usually ground up and fed to his hommies. then their meat gets infected.

Right, I believe the prions responsible for mad cow desease spread to the meat of the animal if it consumes the nerver tissue of an infected animal. Do we refer to it as an infection though? We are dealing with prions, not bacteria.
