The most I've ever done 225 was 28 times and that was a few months ago when I was cutting and just felt like repping it out to exhaustion. In April I benched 545 for 1 rep while on a cycle and thats my best to date. I think you can have the best of both worlds depending on when your "on" or "off" juice. I never go over 405 when I'm off but when I'm on I really push it - thats the way I grow!
My bench routine now that I'm "off"
warm up 135 - ? (till I feel warmed up LOL!)
225 - 2 sets of 20
315 - 2 sets of 10 (rarely get 10 the 2nd time - 8-9)
405 - 1 set - anywhere between 3-6
burn out - 225 - exhaustion!
6'-0" 240 10% bf
