I am trying to put on as much weight as possible. I have been loading up on protein as much as possible but just read something that said too much protein is a waste. How much protein should I try to take. thanks

give us some stats for starters, age? height? weight? experience lifting? i try to consume anywhere from 40-60g protein each meal, about 250 to 300g a day.. btw this has nothing to do with AAS, this belongs in the Diet And Bodybuilding forum.

2g per lb of bw. too much is better than not enough. you need to make sure your getting lots of complex carbs too

Lets all do our part to keep threads in the right forum And also do out part to help out in all forums. Lets all make it happen together.

i personally eat around 3g protein per lb of body weight. some will argue its to much but its what i need to grow fastest. i also eat mostly beef. dont base your diet on protein alone you will need the right amount of protein, fats, simple carbs, complex carbs, calories, and water. then with protein there are all different kinds of protein. you should also take a multi v. timing is everything. you can get an idea of where to start by looking up bulking diets on the net but you are going to have to learn how your body responds to these nutrients and how much it needs and when it needs them. it takes time. it will help if you keep a detailed log. find a good diet to start and do that for 2 weaks then make a change to something and see what happens. good luck

+1 back in the days i used to keep a tight log recording ever cal, carb, protein, fats i ate, the times everything was to the dot.... now i know exactly what to eat when to eat, i know at the end of the day approximately how many of each i consumed and know how my body reacts to certain food... you just have to learn your body and how it reacts to certain things... like Joe said it takes time, but once you are on dial you are good in the mean time...
